Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of June 2, 2014 Thank you to Mrs. Aaron, Mrs. Kuznicki, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Delpero for driving and accompanying our students to the Immersion Days at the National Canal Museum in Easton last Thursday. It was a fantastic event for all! This week students will be taking their Final Test/Exams for the school year. We will continue to review each day for the upcoming tests. Please see attachment for Final Test/ Exams Schedule. All are welcome to attend the 8:00 First Thursday Mass on Thursday, 6/5. The students in grades 4-8 are invited to the Moonlight Dance on Friday, 6/6 from 7:30 until 9:30 PM. Next week, the last week of school students will be dismissed at 12:15 PM Monday through Thursday, On Friday 6/13, the last day of school there is a 10:00AM dismissal followed by a Celebration Picnic for all. Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of May 5, 2014 We are in need of donations for our Mother’s Day Project -I am asking all students to bring 2 cups of granulated sugar in a double bag to school. Thanks! Monday and Tuesday, 5/5 and 5/6 all of the students will be attending the Carbon County Environmental Center to participate in the fun activities of the Environthon. Mrs. Marzen will be attending on Monday with the students and I will be attending on Tuesday. Students need to wear their TEAM Day attire and bring along a bagged, disposable lunch and a drink. Thank you for joining us for McTeachers’ Night at McDonald’s. Your support was appreciated. Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of April 21, 2014 Thank you for your generosity and participation in our annual Basket Auction/Pasta Dinner and your continued support of our school. Next Monday and Tuesday, 5/5 and 5/6 all of the students will be attending the Carbon County Environmental Center to participate in the fun activities of the Environthon. The field trip to the Crayola Factory was wonderful. We have a very enjoyable day. On Friday, 4/25 we will be visiting the Crayola Factory for our field trip. Join us for McTeachers’ Night at McDonald’s in Walnutport from 4-7 P.M. tonight, Monday. Tomorrow is TEAM Day. Beginning today students are asked to bring a towel to school as we will be eating lunch outdoors –weather permitting. The dog or chocolate items are due today, Tuesday, 4/22 for our classroom baskets. Thank you for your generosity and your support of our school. Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of April 7, 2014 The fourth quarter begins today! Where has the time gone? Also students must wear their standard school uniform-No polo shirts. There will be two field trips in the future. On Friday, April 25th, students in grades K-4 will be visiting the Crayola Factory. On Monday 5/5- (Grade 3) and on Tuesday 5/6-(Grade 4) all students will be attending the Envirothon at the Carbon County Environmental Center for a competition with other school students. Please return the permission slip that was sent home. Soft pretzels ($1.00) and orange drink ($.50) will continue to be sold at lunch each Friday during Lent. Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of March 31, 2014 Thanks to all who supported SS. Peter and Paul School’s Springtastic Celebration on Saturday. What a fun time for all! This coming weekend the CYO Arts and Crafts Fair will take place in the school hall. Soft pretzels ($1.00) and orange drink ($.50) will continue to be sold at lunch each Friday during Lent. Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter Week of March 10, 2014 Thanks to all of the students for creating their beautiful crosses for our cross exchange. Students will be praying for their Lenten Prayer Partners throughout Lent. Cognitive Abilities Tests will be given to the third grade students Wednesday through Friday of this week. Please be sure your child gets adequate sleep and eats breakfast. Soft pretzels ($1.00) and orange drink ($.50) will be sold at lunch beginning on Friday, 3/7 and each Friday during Lent. The third and fourth grade Biography Book Reports are due Thursday, 3/14.
