Week of January 27, 2014
Mid-Term Exams will finally be wrapping up today.
Students have successfully completed all but one of their exams.
Also today begins the third quarter of our school year.
We are celebrating Catholic Schools’ Week this week with many fun activities.
Thanks to all who attended our Catholic Schools’ Mass and Open House.
The Education/Academic Fair projects are really fantastic!
Thank you all for helping your child to gather information, pictures, etc .
This week we will be participating in many fun activities to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week.
TEAM Day is Tuesday, 1/28.
FYI- The Scholastic Book Fair will take place next week.
Our classroom dates are Monday, 2/3, to preview the books for sale, and Tuesday, 2/4 for purchase.
Our tentative Academic Agenda is as follows:
Math- Grade 3- continuing with Chapter 5- Division Facts and Concepts
Grade 4- continuing with Chapter 12- Divide by Two Digits
Spelling- Grade 3- Compound Words
Grade 4- Words containing oi, oy, ou, ow
Reading- Grade 3- beginning Unit 3- focused skill- steps in a process
Selection: What Do Author’s Do?
Grade 4- focused skill- context clues, Selection: Komodo Dragons
English- Grades 3 & 4- Vocabulary Workshop- Unit 3
Religion- working on Unit 2 Review
