Our field trip to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary was a great learning experience for the students despite our wet surroundings.
Students’ October Book reports are due on Monday,October 29th.
On Friday, 10/26 we will be having our Halloween parade and classroom party.
Our tentative academic agenda will be as follows:
Math- continuing Chapter 5-Divide by One Digit,
Test on Lessons 1-5, Tues. 10/30
Spelling-working on Lesson 8, words containing verbs with “ed”, “ing” endings
Reading- focused skill- cause and effect,
text selection- A Big City Dream
English- beginning Chapter 5- Verbs
Religion-continuing Chapter 4- In God’s Image, Test–Tues. 10/30
Science- beginning Chapter 3- Energy in Ecosystems, we will be creating
Woodland Habitat Models when all materials are available
Social Studies- beginning Chapter 1 in text book- The American Landscape
Students have been given their assigned topics for our Election Assembly.
We will be completing the posters next Monday and Tuesday.
