Week of October 15, 2012

We had a very busy week of tests. Congratulations to all of the students as they did very well! Their Presidential Reports were extremely informative.
Our field trip to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is today.
It will be a fun learning experience as students will participate in a Mountain Discovery Program.
The October Book Report information was sent home last week.
All of their books have been approved.
These reports are due on Monday, October 26th.
Our tentative academic agenda will be as follows:
Math- -beginning Chapter 5-Divide by One Digit
Spelling-working on Lesson 7, words containing long o and long i
Reading- beginning Unit 2- A Wider View, focused skill- visualizing
text selection- The Cricket in Times Square
English- working on descriptive writing
Religion-beginning Unit 2- Trinity , Chapter 4- In God’s Image
Science- beginning Chapter 3- Energy in Ecosystems
Social Studies-continue learning about the - Presidential Election Process
