Grades 3 & 4 Newsletter
Week of November 4, 2013
Finally today in science, we will be constructing Woodland Habitat Models.
Thanks to all who contributed materials for this project.
Congratulations to Matthew Kuznicki and Allicea Gruber for being chosen as the Students of the Month for October.
On Tuesday, 11/5 school will not be in session due to voting in the school.
On Thursday, 11/7 all are welcome to our monthly Family Mass at 8:00 AM.
Report cards will be issued on Monday, 11/11.
Our tentative week’s schedule is as follows:
Math – Grade 4- working on Chapter 5- Divide by 1 Digit
Grade 3- continue working on Chapter 3- Subtraction
Spelling –both grades working on Lesson 10
Reading- Grade 3 – beginning Unit 2, focused skill-graphic sources,
Reading selection -Fly Traps
Grade 4- beginning Unit 2, focused skill-visualizing,
Reading selection- Cricket in Times Square
English- beginning study of Verbs, Grade 3- Chapter 4
Grade 4- Chapter 5
Religion- beginning- Child Protection Catechesis
Science- constructing Woodland Habitat Models
Social Studies-continuing Chapter 1- Map and Globe Skills,
Using an Elevation Map
